Best Chest Workout

If you're reading this article, chances are you found it by trying to find the best chest workout that exists.  Well the bad news is there is no such thing.  The best chest workout you can possibly get it is relative and I can't tell you exactly what the best chest workout is.  What I can do however is give you the tools for crafting a chest workout routine for you that will give you the maximum amount of muscle mass possible.

The first thing you need to consider when you are building a thick, solid chest is rep ranges.  The best repitition ranges for building a great chest is somewhere in the neighborhood of 8-12 reps.  Me personally, I like to stick to 12 reps for each set of chest exercises I do for my entire workout.  Staying in this semi-high rep range will force the blood into your muscle stimulating the most growth.

The second thing you need to keep in mind if the end goal is a god-like chest is weight numbers.  So if you are doing 12 reps, you should be doing 70-85% of your one rep maximum for each set.  Generally I try to go as heavy as I can for 12 reps, causing the most damage to my pectorals and causing the most muscle growth as a result.

The last and final thing you need to worry about is exercise variety.  The chest (pectorals) is a major muscle and it has a lot of fibers that need to be broken down in order for real muscle growth to occur.  My chest routine goes something like this; incline dumb bell press, flat dumb bell press, incline hammer strength press, decline hammer strength press, incline/flat cable fly super sets.  This gives me an incredible pump and by the time I'm done my chest is convulsing from fatigue.

I can't stress enough the importance of taking the time to properly hit every angle of your chest.  Most people think they can just do flat bench press (barbell) and they will grow just fine.  This couldn't be farther from the truth.  In fact, if you want the most growth (fun fact) you should probably focus mostly on incline bench press.  Also, try to do most of your beginning/heavy work with dumb bells.  This has proven time and time again to provide the most damage to your pectorals and is the optimum method for lifting weights in the best chest workout routine.

That's just the tip of the ice berg however.  If you want more advice GUARANTEED to work, I strongly suggest you click here.
